The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases, under the supervision of your Warnakali Instructor:
The training is provided by experienced instructors. They also have a perfect knowledge of Nusa Penida dive sites and their potentially strong currents. All instructors speak English.
The course takes place over 3 full days. Warnakali dive center ensures pick-ups and drop-offs to your hotel every day.
Warnakali will provide you with all the material to start learning. It covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. For each concept, you read the explanations and watch the demonstration on a video. Your PADI Instructor will schedule time with you to check your progress and make sure you understand important scuba diving information. You can read the manual and watch the videos at home, at the hotel or at the center.
After having read and understood the first chapters of the manual, you will move to the pool and breathe underwater for the first time. You will get acquainted with the diving equipment in shallow water. Next step is to dive into the 3 meter deep pool to learn how to equalize your ears in a reassuring environment. You will then practice all the exercises first in shallow water, in the 3 meter deep pool and finally at sea.
There are many different diving spots around Nusa Penida. And during each dive you will learn AND you will have fun. Your instructor has a perfect knowledge of all dive spots in Nusa Penida. He will choose each day the best sites according to the conditions and the exercises to realize. But also with the goal of transforming each dive into a memorable dive. You will most certainly dive at Manta Point, for example, to dive with Manta rays !

In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device and a tank.
All equipment at the Warnakali Dive Center is brand new and maintained by qualified personnel. All the required security equipment is also available on board of the boat.
You will use the very high technical facilities of the Warnakali diving center in Nusa Penida :
• classrooms for indoor courses,
• shallow pool to become familiar with the equipment,
• 3-meter deep pool to practice the basic exercises in a reassuring but representative environment, before diving in the sea.
