If PADI Open Water training teaches you how to dive safely, it is mostly focused on the diver himself. In particular, how to behave underwater and have the right reflexes. The PADI Advanced Open Water course will complement your diving training by focusing on the underwater world. And therefore allow you to explore more fully the possibilities it offers. Read here how we manage this course at Warnakali diving center in Nusa Penida, Bali.
You will exchange a lot with your instructor to discuss your experience as a diver, as well as your expectations. With him, you will develop and design yourself your training. In particular choose from the many possibilities the ones that are most important to you. All this according to the possibilities offered by the environment around Nusa Penida.
This is one of the reasons why you will like the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. You will choose out of 15 different types of adventure dives to complete your course. For example, you can try deep dive, night dive, sidemount configuration, peak performance buoyancy and many more.
Nusa Penida is the perfect place for this training. Why ? Because the sites are famous for their beauty, but also for their technicality. Warnakali instructors are familiar with all Nusa Penida dive sites. They will allow you to get the best out of your training and your dives.
That’s what the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about. You don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving, so you can start right after earning your PADI Open Water Diver certification. The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives.
You try out different specialties while gaining experience under the supervision of your Warnakali Instructor. You log dives and develop capabilities as you find new ways to have fun while scuba diving.
Each Adventure Dive may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.
PADI (Junior) Open Water Divers who are at least 12 years old are ready to step up and enroll in an Advanced Open Water Diver course. Young divers may only participate in certain Adventures Dives – check with your Warnakali Instructor.
If you’re already an Adventure Diver, you only need to complete two more Adventure Dives to earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification.
When you passed your PADI Open Water, you started a real passion for scuba diving. Therefore, like most of us, the desire never stops leaving you to discover even more about this world. But also to progress. For the PADI Advanced Open Water training, you will plan your learning path with your Warnakali dive instructor.
Here, less theoretical courses, learning is indeed based on an exchange between enthusiasts. Once you have read the corresponding chapters in the book, the briefings will be an opportunity to make a quick review of your knowledge before each dive.
The full debriefings with your instructor will allow you to get more insights of each chosen adventure dive, with concrete feedback. During the dives you will practice playful exercises, putting into practice new techniques. Or demonstrating in a simple way, certain concepts of scuba diving. An effective way to continue your exploration of Nusa Penida dive sites by combining fun, learning and safety.
There are two required dives : Deep and Underwater Navigation. But you will choose the other three, for a total of five dives.
During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.
The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.
Beyond using basic scuba equipment, you’ll need a compass and dive knife or dive tool. You’ll also use specialized gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, you’d obviously a sidemount configuration during the Sidemount Adventure Dive.
Your Warnakali Instructor will explain the equipment that you need and may suggest additional gear, such as dive light for night diving or lift bag for search and recovery diving.
Warnakali diving center philosophy is based on sharing and exchanges. It’s our way of transmitting, teaching and sharing our passion.
That’s why we offer a PADI advanced open water option for those wishing to dive while respecting the environment.
During your PADI open water you focused on your comfort and safety. As a logical continuation, your PADI advanced open water course will open your eyes to the world around you. This is a special time to learn how to clean without damaging the flora and fauna. That’s the purpose of our Dive against debris certification training.
This training includes a theoretical part and a sea dive, incorporated into the training dives. During this dive, we will clear the site that we have adopted through Project AWARE : Gamat Bay.
Since we invite ourselves underwater, we are an integral part of the diving environment. Complementing your PADI Advanced open water with Adaptive support training will be the ideal complement to becoming a responsible diver. Thanks to a theoretical part and an always fun moment, shared in the pool, it will allow you to be aware of the techniques and solutions for diving with a disabled partner. But also to go beyond the preconceptions and questions concerning all types of handicap in diving. This sea dive will also be part of your 5 certified dives.
Beyond the satisfaction of becoming a PADI Advanced open water, you will be proud to become a responsible diver, respectful of the world around him. A full member of the Warnakali family !
